How to add your blog to Technorati

Every blogger wants to get maximum web traffic to his/her blog. There are numerous ways to increase traffic and SEO tricks to get listed in the front page of search engine results. One of the method is registering the blog in Technorati blog directory. It is one of the reputed famous blog directory website with huge number of followers. Here are the steps to register your blog in technorati.com directory.

1. Sign in into Technorati, if you don’t have an account, create it.

2. Click on your account id (top right corner). It will display your account profile.

3. Now scroll to the bottom of the page. There you will find ‘My claimed blogs’ section.

4. Enter your blog URL in the text box and click ‘Claim’ button.

5. It will ask you to enter your blog details like blog name, URL, feed url, tags and description of your blog. Enter all those information and submit it.

6. Once submitted, your blog will be put under verification status. Now you have to verify your blog.

7. In your profile page, under ‘My claimed blogs’ section your blog will be displayed with ‘Check claim’ button.

8. Click on the ‘check claim’ button, Technorati will display a unique code (something like 6E2G9YNWB8JY) and ask you to create  a new blog post with this unique code.

9. Create a new blog post with your unique code and post it. Now go to ‘Claim Blog’ page and click ‘Verify Claim Token’ button.

Thats it. Your blog will be verified and listed in their directory.
